Non-green fingered people can garden too!

I finally realized that I can be a gardener too, thanks to the great team @ livingseeds. If you have not bought the autumn/winter package for beginners, then do it now. My winter veggies are well on their way already! And my neighbours who received a package from me, used it to have bonding time with their toddler. As for the more exotic stuff - that is so much fun! I cannot tell you how many people are totally amazed at the interesting things growing in my garden, eg. jelly melons. I probably will never buy seeds anywhere else again.

Bhut Jolika

I planted some Bhut Jolika seeds late December 2012, phoned Sean on a regular basis wanting to know why my seeds were not germinating. As stated on the website, these are difficult seeds to germinate which was confirmed when doing my own research on the web. After two weeks I closed my Tupperware container where the seeds trays were in and decided to give it up as a bad job and order a new batch of seeds. On 20 Feb 2013 I decided to open the container to clean it out to prepare for my new batch, to my surprise I was greeted by 20 one inch seedlings, two months after planting, fantastic. I myself work with customers but never have I met anyone as patient a Sean. Thanks Again, I will always support you. Daan Wentzel Pretoria Gauteng

Tanya

Love love love your site! Last year we tried our hand at growing a big variety of heirloom veg (especially tomatoes) and some white oyster mushrooms... What a success everything was! I ordered some sprouting seeds for the first time last week friday, and by this week thursday I already have sprouts that I can eat!!! What a great turnaround time ;-) keep up the good work!

Orca beans are our favorite dry bean for the 2012 growing season. Also known as YinYang Beans, and Calypso beans these are and outsanding dry bean variety. Some people suggest that they make a good green bean, however there are many other dwarf beans out there that far surpass the Orca as green beans.

It's as a dry bean that the Orca (My kids call them Free Willy beans) really excells, in soups, stews and as baked beans the orca is in my humble estimation right up there as an outstanding variety.

Approx 30 seeds.
