A new, stunning ginger grown by one of our contract growers. This ginger is a Mozambican heirloom variety grown in the town of Chimoio which is renowned as a prime agricultural center.

Chimoio ginger is a hot, full flavoured ginger that leaves a lingering taste and warmth in your mouth. The smallest ginger we have available this year, the deep yellow flesh gives this variety its distinctive look. Although the tubers are smaller, it packs a huge punch on flavour, this alone makes it an exceptional variety.
We think that Chimoio is going to become one of your new firm favourites due to its rich, full flavour profile. It has certainly gained its place in our gardens and kitchen.

Chimoio ginger does not need any special treatment and will grow well using the same techniques employed to grow any of the other varieties.
