Large Barred Boar is an open-pollinated variety created by passionate tomato breeder Brad Gates of Wild Boar Farms, California. This indeterminate grows stocky and not as tall as most indeterminate tomatoes, growing to about 1.5m. As an early-to-mid-season maturer, you can expect good, long, and regular harvests of these beauties.

The large, flattened fruit ranges around 220-350g and sports a visually stunning 2-toned striping of pink-brown and metallic green, and meaty deep-pink flesh inside. Its taste is what really sold us, though – a remarkably rich, complex flavour, much like Cherokee Purple, but with oomph. It's a great addition to any cooked dish or even better fresh off the vine.

Ready for harvest at around 60-75 days from transplant.
