Known for its compact form and decorative appeal, this variety has graced plates and gardens for generations. It remains a firm favourite in South African gardens for its traditional flavour and resilience in various growing conditions.

While it’s often seen as a garnish, moss curled parsley offers far more than good looks. The dense foliage is packed with essential and trace minerals, making it an ideal ingredient for juicing and nutrient-rich smoothies. Its fresh flavour enhances soups, stews, omelettes and sauces, while a handful of chopped leaves adds a bright, herbal lift to just about any dish.

For best results, soak seeds overnight before sowing to improve germination. Press them lightly into moist, well drained soil in early spring or autumn, and keep the surface consistently moist. Expect germination in 14 to 21 days. Seedlings establish slowly at first but reward patience with lush, mounded growth.
