This is a real winner in South Africa. Growing lettuce is tough here as it doesn't tolerate our summer heat, which is especially the case with butter lettuce. Butter King is a much slower bolting variety, allowing it to at least get a good head in before it decides to bolt.
Enjoy this one, it really is worth it.
