Biobass is Soygro’s broad-spectrum biological insecticide, crafted to combat a wide range of soft-bodied and leaf-chewing insects in gardens, tunnels, and fields. Powered by the entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana, Biobass is highly effective against common pests such as aphids, thrips, whiteflies, caterpillars, crickets, and bugs. This hardy formulation adapts well to different climates and pH conditions and is safe to use throughout the crop cycle without affecting harvest schedules.

The active fungus in Biobass acts through direct contact. Once its spores adhere to the insect’s body, they germinate and penetrate the outer cuticle, colonising the insect internally and leading to its death in a few days. Infected insects often stop feeding and exhibit unusual behaviour like moving to plant tops. In high humidity conditions, the fungus can spread epidemically among the pest population, with hyphae growing visibly from insect cadavers.

To apply Biobass, spray directly onto pests and foliage using a knapsack sprayer or similar equipment. Mix a single vial in upto 5lt of water. Ensure full coverage of leaves and repeat applications every 10 days to disrupt pest life cycles. Biobass works best when used in humid conditions.
