Beta vulgaris

Most commonly referred to as "Winter keeper," this beetroot has outstanding storage potential. They produce beautiful red/purple roots with red stems and are known for their giant glossy leaves that are often enjoyed as chard or in a salad. The roots are tender and have a mouth-wateringly sweet flavour.

The whole plant is edible; it doesn't get any better than that!
