Cucurbita moschata

A popular pumpkin variety from Zimbabwe. These pumpkins produce lovely, slightly fluted, oblong fruits that ripen to a pale orange-tan. The flesh is dense and flavorsome, making it a good all-rounder.

Traditionally, the leaves are enjoyed in a dish called Muboora and the pumpkin flesh is cooked and made into a porridge-like dish known as Nhopi.
