Brassica oleracea capitata

A "miniature" cabbage which has a deliciously mild flavour and a lovely crisp texture. An early maturing cabbage that weighs around 1.5kgs. This variety produces small to medium sized heads allowing you to plant them slightly closer than other varieties. These fast growing cabbages will be one of the first varieties to be ready for harvest from your garden.

Perfect for coleslaw - add Red Acre cabbage for a colourful combination.

Growing this for the first time. Does great in Durban's Autumn/Winter. First variety I have tried that has no signs of white fly or caterpillars. It's been 30 days since transplanting and it's almost done heading.

This one took 22 days from seed to transplant and another 93 days days from transplant to harvest. It took this long because I grew them in semi-shade. I'm going to grow them in full sun next time for an earlier hatvest. It's a great small variety of cabbage for gardeners with smaller spaces to plant and for the impatient gardeners who can't wait for larher head cabbage varieties. Had some problems with slugs but as soon as the first frost came the slugs were gone. Definately growing this one again!!
