This plant is something very, very special, and was named ‘Delight’ by its creator, Paul Thomson, who stated that in his expert opinion it would not be possible to improve on its flavour in the entire group of vine cactus.

The self fertile, white flowers, are followed by large (up to 500 grams) fruit with the coolest, marbled, pale cerise pink flesh, with a Brix (sugar count) of 18 and up. Acidity is also good, and the flavour is superb!

The uniquely marbled (like a good steak!) pinkish colour of Delights flesh is created by a cocktail of the potent super-antioxidants betanin, indicaxanthin, phyllocactin and hylocerenin and their related compounds.
