Shelling Peas

Our shelling pea seed selection is bound to have your mouth watering, most of the fresh pea harvest in every garden almost never makes it back to the kitchen. It the gardeners tax to be able to snack of a few delicious, sweet, tender peas that are eaten straight off the vine.

Shelling peas need to be planted en-mass to ensure that enough gets harvested to make a meal and then probably a few extra lines to be able to freeze some of these sweet delights for later in the year.

Most often shelling peas have a high fiber content in the pods, making them unsuitable for eating the whole pod, especially once the seeds have started to swell. This is the reason why they are called shelling peas.
