Péllos is Soygro’s targeted biological defence against powdery mildew, a persistent fungal enemy of many ornamental and nursery crops. Powered by Ampelomyces quisqualis, this hyperparasite works directly on mildew colonies, penetrating their hyphal structures and conidiophores. Hardy and adaptable, Péllos can survive up to 21 days on foliage, even in the absence of visible mildew, making it a valuable tool to spray as a preventative fungal control.

Once conditions favour infection—typically warm and humid—Péllos gets to work by degrading the cytoplasm of mildew cells. Within seven to ten days, the parasitic fungus spreads through the mildew colony, causing visible dieback, hyphal collapse, and a reduction in spore formation. This mode of action makes Péllos especially effective when applied early or as part of a rotation strategy with Andermatts Delfin to cover all of your bases. It doesn’t just suppress current mildew infestations; it prevents their spread and re-establishment.

Péllos should be applied using a knapsack sprayer or hand sprayer, mixing 1 x 2ml vial into 5lt of water. Reapplication is advised in high pressure situations, and it becomes even more effective if mixed with Sterisweep for added plant support.

NB: Péllos cannot be used in conjunction with Copper Soap, as Copper kills all fungus, good and bad!
