Cucurbita moschata
An Italian heirloom from the city of Albenga on the Riviera that is full of surprises.
A unique, climbing squash that needs to be trellised. If harvested around 25-30 cm when the skin is light green and soft, they can be used as a courgette/zucchini. If left to mature when the skin develops to a creamy tan colour, the skin hardens enabling short term storage into winter. Exceptionally sweet and nutty flavours make this a potential new favourite in your garden. These long, curved, unique zucchinis can grow up to an impressive 1m long and are a fun feature in any vegetable garden.

Standard packets contain approx. 15 seeds

Petite packets contain approx. 5 seeds

Glad you keep these now . have been growing these for a few years now , very vigorous prolific plants ,eat when small as a zuchini or grow till mature ,we make soup from mature squash .They can grow big ,trying to break my 2015 record of 8kg and 160cm and growing , but wind broke the stem ,so it could have been abit bigger ,was not even turning colour yet , another weird plant that makes us the people in Steynsburg that grow all that 'snaakse goed',,highly recommend.
